AIR
Flights
to the Galapagos are expensive. There are two airlines that fly to the
islands, AEROGAL and TAME. We
will be more than happy to book the flights for you.
The
main ports to leave for the Galapagos are in Quito and Guayaquil, though
you can get flights from Cuenca and other major cities that make connections
in either Quito or Guayaquil. Only Guyaquil and Quito offer direct flights.

We
will help organize all of your flights and bookings
to suit your needs and travel plans! Let
us know your travel dates and times, and we will book the tickets as
soon as possible.
*Price
depends on high/low season, whether you're a child or part of the Pacto-Andino.
Ironically, we found that low season on the airlines is high season
on the cruise ships and vice/versa.
There
are also "special fares" that restrict the buyer to only 21 days in
the islands. It's a great option for those who have a tight schedule
and don't plan to stay longer than the 21 days. The rest of the tickets
are open for 1 year. Students used to get a discount, but not anymore.
If you have a big group, we can try to get your tickets for a discounted
price when booking your flights.
Children
pay 50% of the ticket. Children 12 and older pay adult fare. Infants
pay 10% of the ticket.
Flights
to another airport in Galapagos, San Cristobal, were run by another
Ecuadorian airline, SAN/Saeta, but ceased in February 2000 due to financial
problems.
